Article with seven zincographs. Published in a German publication. Dated 1902.

The Hutzuls are an ethnic group of people living in the Carpathian Mountains. Their region is in the

Ukraine. But political borders have been shifting here and there and back and forth. At times the Hutzuls belonged to Romania, then to Russia, Poland.

Kolomyja is a town (ca. 60000 inhabitants) in Western Ukraine. And in Kolomyja and surrounding the article about the Hutzuls is the theme.

Article is in the German language. It has three text pages and 7 illustrations.
